This series forms one of the four component parts of the Secretariatus Status series Fondo Moderno. It continues in part the Secretariatus Status series Interni-Esteri, 1814-1822. The series is then continued by the Secretariatus Status series Esteri, 1846-1922. This particular series consists of correspondence and other files of the Secretariatus Status with representatives outside the Papal States. Though the files include scattered papers after 1845, the series contains documents primarily from the years 1815-1845. These files are arranged by rubric number, then within each rubric, chronologically.
