Letterpress copybook, 1896 Feb. 13-1897 Mar. 30, indexed, of outgoing correspondence of the Jones' law firm regarding business ventures such as the possible quarrying of rock to make cement, legal matters, financial matters, and comments on constitutional questions such as the regulation of the insurance business found in the letter of 1897 Feb. 25, of ? Jones to E.B Joseph, president of the Capital City Fire Insurance Company. There is also letter, of 1896 Aug. 14 commenting on the 1896 presidential election, from Thomas G. Jones to C.S. Fairchild, New York Security and Trust, New York, in which Jones asserts the election of William Jennings Bryan would be a "calamity", but "can not" vote for William McKinley; he desires a third party. Jones also spoke of the 1896 Alabama gubernatorial election in Alabama and the defeat of the Republicans and Populists by the Democrats using "the Negro Question".
