The collection consists primarily of the personal and business correspondence of Dr. T. Perceval Gerson (chiefly for the years 1934-1937). It includes letters from conductors, musicians, and lecturers on liberal causes. There are sets of newspaper clippings covering the San Francisco Graft Trial of 1907 and the William Dudley Haywood trial in Idaho in 1907.

T. Perceval Gerson, founder of the Hollywood Bowl, was a physician, the publisher of the Los Angeles municipal newspaper, and a patron of many community organizations.
