T. Perceval Gerson, founder of the Hollywood Bowl, was a physician, the publisher of the Los Angeles municipal newspaper, and a patron of many community organizations. He was active in the Hollywood Bowl Association, the Theatre Arts Alliance of Hollywood, the National Committee for Planned Parenthood, and the American Civil Liberties Union.
