Certificate of appointment, 1767 August 20.

Appointment August 20, 1767 of Gerardus Cluet as a second lieutenant in a company of militia in the county of Albany under Captain Jacobus Van Schoonhoven. Also included is the appointment certificate dated 1775 October 20 of Cluett as a captain of the first company of Albany county militia, signed by Nathaniel Wardhull.
