George I. Sánchez Papers 1919-1986

The personal and professional papers of Mexican American educator, writer, and civil rights activist George I. Sánchez. Correspondence, written works, speeches and interviews, photographs, and reference materials document Sánchez's career as an educator in New Mexico and Texas, his involvement with organizations such as the American Council of Spanish-speaking People, the University of Texas, and the League of United Latin American Citizens, and his activism against the segregation of Mexican American schoolchildren in the southwestern United States.

Roger Nash Baldwin (January 21, 1884 – August 26, 1981) was one of the founders of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). He served as executive director of the ACLU until 1950.
