Reel 1 shows scenes of rice and sugar farming, of rope manufacture, and of cromite and gold mines. Shows President Quezon; Gen. MacArthur and his aide, Maj. Dwight Eisenhower, in their office; the surrender of the Philippines by Gen. Wainwright; and the return of Gen. MacArthur. Reel 2. Gen. MacArthur addressed, the Congress of the Philippines. Shows scenes of reconstruction, including the search for silver cached in Manila Bay prior to Japanese occupation. President Osmena and Paul V. McNutt discuss problems of independence in Washington, D.C. Shows Senator Tydings.
