Dwight David Eisenhower (1890-1969) was leader of the Allied forces in Europe in World War II, commander of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), and the thirty-fourth president of the United States, from January 20, 1953, to January 20, 1961. Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890, in Denison, Texas, the third son of David Jacob Eisenhower, a railroad worker, and Ida Elizabeth Stover. Crommelin, Henry, 1904-1971

Henry Crommelin was born August 11, 1904, in Montgomery, Alabama. He received his commission as ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1925, and achieved the rank of rear admiral in 1952. He served as commander of Battleship Division 2 from 1956 to 1957. Crommelin died in March 1971.
