William Carmichael (b. 1739?, Queen Anne's County, MD-d. Feb. 9, 1795, Madrid, Spain) was an American diplomat and Maryland's representative to the Continental Congress (1778, 1779). He served as the principal diplomat for the United States to Spain (1782-1794).
