Woodhouse, Chase Going, 1890-1984
Alternative namesBorn in Victoria, British Columbia in 1890, Chase Going recieved her B.A. and M.A. in Economics from McGill University, and her PhD from the University of Chicago, where she married Professor Edward James Woodhouse. She held various academic positions at Smith College, University of North Carolina,and Connecticut College as well as a government position in the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and as Secretary of State for Connecticut. She served two terms for Connecticut in the U.S. House of Representatives. Chase Going Woodhouse passed away in 1984 in New Canaan, Connecticut.
