In the early 20th century, a group of concerned cattlemen took it upon themselves to help structure the future of the cattle industry in the state of Arizona. Their primary focus was the drafting of orderly, systematic laws protecting livestock and property. On January 4, 1904, these individuals organized the Arizona Cattle Growers' Association, an organization which continues to advocate for livestock and property owners to this day.

They also participate in public relation activities that promote positive portrayals of the ranching image and heritage. Lastly, the Arizona Cattle Growers Association builds alliances with other organizations and cultivate their membership base.
