Anne Kracik Draper, born 4 March 1917 in New York City, was a trade union organizer, supporter of the farm labor organizing efforts of Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers, and was active in the peace and feminist movements. She founded the Labor Assembly for Peace, and Union W.A.G.E. (Women's Alliance to Gain Equity). She died 25 March 1973.

Biography

Draper was a labor organizer, socialist and founder of Citizens for Farm Labor and Union W.A.G.E. (Women's Alliance to Gain Equality), the first women's liberation group made up of women trade unionists. The daughter of Polish immigrants, Draper graduated from Hunter College, New York. A longtime member of the Independent Socialist League, she opposed the Vietnam war from the 1950s onward.
