Clara Dorothy Bewick Colby was an early and active member of the woman suffrage movement. She served as president of the Nebraska Woman Suffrage Association and edited the influential feminist newspaper, Woman's tribune. In her later years she was active in the international suffrage movement and as a lecturer.
