The Susan B. Anthony Memorial collections were started by a group of California women who collected all types of material about the life and work of Susan B. Anthony. This group, the Susan B. Anthony Memorial Committee of California, was headed by Una Richardson Winter, Director, and Alice L. Park, Associate Director. They donated the manuscript and printed materials now known as the Susan B. Anthony Memorial collections to the Huntington Library between 1945-1956.
