Goldmark, Carl, 1830-1915. Die Königen von Saba [collection] : Oper in vier Akten nach einem Text von Mosenthal, op. 27 / von Carl Goldmark.
Title:
Die Königen von Saba [collection] : Oper in vier Akten nach einem Text von Mosenthal, op. 27 / von Carl Goldmark. 1870-1949.
Arranged in two groups: I. Vocal scores (4). II. Orchestra parts (52). Although it is known that Goldmark produced the opera around 1875, the actual dates of publication of the various Tams-Witmark manifestations are uncertain, hence the wide range of inclusive dates given for the collection. The three vocal scores published by Schweere & Haake (Bremen) are annotated as stage manager guides and with cuts, and, sometimes, English words handwritten above the German. The publisher of the remaining vocal score (an incomplete English version of the opera) is uncertain, but the plate number "H. P. 540" suggests that it may be Hugo Pohle of Bremen. Likewise the orchestra parts bear the plate number "H. P. 480." All markings and directions are in German.
