Miscellaneous items include an Eskimo catechism from the Seward Peninsula and a 1946 map of Nome showing building lots.

The papers include correspondence with public figures such as explorers Stefansson and Amundsen; Gudbrand Lomen's court case calendar, legal opinions and published articles; Alfred Lomen's legislative papers, radio broadcasts and speeches; material relating to an effort to have Ralph Lomen appointed governor of the Territory of Alaska; a large collection of photographs and two reindeer films; and the personal papers of individual members of the Lomen Family.

Diary of a trip to Alaska, April 27-August 31, 1946, with Ozzie Sweet, a friend and magazine photographer from Connecticut. They sought "real-Alaskan" stories and opinions on issues facing post-war Alaska. The diary's purpose was to gather notes for later writing. Records many interviews with Alaskans met during the trip including World War II veterans. In July, the two were joined by their wives, who contributed background notes to the manuscript. Sweet's photography notes are at the end. Handwritten index by Wilson is at the beginning.

Photographs are mainly from the time period, 1901-1912. William W. Sale, an avid photographer, knew many of the photographers who worked in Nome: F.H. Nowell, Huey & Laws, Alfred Simmer, O.D. Goetze, and Carl Lomen. Their work is also represented in the collection. Images include Eskimos, dog mushing, portraits, Nome, buildings, gold camps, railroads, steamships, and telegraph stations. Images and notes about photographs used in the book "One Dog Short" (John W. and Caryl Sale Krug), written about the Sale's by their daughter, Caryl, may also be found in the collection.
