Beaumont, Henry, 1611 or 12-1673. Common Pleas reports, late 16th-century.

Contains reports in the Common Pleas, 2 Pas. 5, Pas. 7, Pas. 8 to Mich. 28 & 29 Eliz. I (1560, 1563, 1565, 1566-1586); not all dated, and some out of order. On ff. 43-50 are three cases 'Reported by Mr. Mutall'; and on ff. 85-86 dicta at York and Suffolk assizes. The reporter of the latter cases was an Inner Templar, whose informants included Henry Beaumont, John Bullock, Edward Coke, Laurence Tanfield, and Edmund Plowden of the Middle Temple. He was also in contact with the protonotaries. There exists a close comparison with the Nicholas Jordan collection in BL MS. Hargrave 373.
