Pamphlets, chiefly from the period 1840-61, collected by William Stickney, graduate (1847) and trustee (1870-81) of Columbian College, and by his father-in-law Amos Kendall, business agent of S.F.B. Morse, inventor of the telegraph. Subjects include agriculture, banking, education of the deaf, religion, anti-slavery, telegraphy, and U.S. politics. Also included are periodicals: The United States magazine and Democratic review (v. 5-11, 20-21; 1839-42, 1847), The Boston quarterly review (v. 1, 3-4; 1838, 1840), The American polytechnic journal (v. 1-2; 1853), and The American quarterly review (v. 8-10; 1830-31).
