Governors' associations meeting packets, 1983-1990.

The Office of Federal-State Relations is responsible for relations among the governor, federal government, cities and towns of Massachusetts, and other states since 1974 under the administration of the lieutenant governor. Governors' associations meeting packets were created to prepare the governor for participation in meetings of the National Governors' Association and other regional governors' meetings. Packets contain meeting schedule, summary of meeting's major theme and highlights, briefings on issues scheduled for discussion, governor's position statements on these issues, and a summary of social events. Meeting packets are for meetings sponsored by the National Governors' Association and the Conference of New England Governors' (New England Governors' Conference).
