ALS written along the Appalachicola River and addressed to Maj. General Edmund P. Gaines. Topics include the Seminole Indians and the 1st Seminole War. He reports sighting Indians with boats laden with corn and pumpkins and expects to have transport arrive at Fort Scott in about 25 to 30 days.
