Arthur V. Woodworth papers, 1898-1950.

This collection consists of teaching papers of Arthur Vernon Woodworth documenting his work as a Professor at Harvard Business School and a history, economics and government tutor at Harvard University. This collection includes correspondence; articles written by Woodworth; research materials pertaining to various organizations, stocks, legal decisions and other economic issues of the day; and teaching materials for his courses in corporate finance and banking at Harvard Business School.

Arthur Vernon Woodworth (1865-1950) attended Harvard University before enrolling at Cambridge Episcopal Divinity School. After graduating in 1891, he earned his PhD from the University of Freiberg, Germany in 1896. He worked at a Boston brokerage firm before joining the faculty at Harvard Business School in 1927 as a finance professor. He retired in 1935. From the description of Arthur V.
