The Year 2000 And Beyond Conference Records 1989.

The files contain planning material for the conference, including correspondence with, accounts from, and brochures for the Pheasant Run resort in St. Charles, Illinois. Also included are responses from participants in the conference. Other correspondence is that with Morris Sorenson, Executive Assistant to the bishop, and Philip Hefner. Philip Hefner, a member of the Chicago Center for Religion and Science and professor at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, wrote the Prologue for the workbook. The Congregational Resource by Ron Klug was a solicited piece of writing regarding the conference, which served as a resource for congregations. Also included is a copy of the workbook used for the conference. Files are arranged alphabetically.
