Copy of recommendation of Velarde (Fiscal?) for secularization of the Franciscan missions of Santa Fé, Santa Cruz de la Canada, Albuquerque and El Paso, and the Viceroy's order confirming the recommendation. With certification of the copy's authenticity signed by Joseph Gorraez. With forwarding letter addressed to Pedro Fermin de Mendinueta (Governor of New Mexico), signed by the Marquéz de Croix.
