Drawings, photographs and tracings of the statues and wooden tablet inscriptions on Easter Island, in the island's native script known as rongorongo, collected or drawn by Alphonse Pinart, ca. 1877. The collection includes rubbings of 5 tablets (Barthel A-E) and photographs of 6 tablets (Barthel A-E, Q), and a few other tracings. The original tablets still exist in Rome and St. Petersburg, except for E, which was destroyed in 1914.
