The Extra-museum activities series contains files relating to curators' work outside the Museum. Contained here are project files for installation and catalog work that Bernard Bothmer completed in the 1970s, as a consultant to the Egyptian Antiquities Organization, for the Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Art. This series also includes a file of clippings concerning Bothmer's assistance in locating the missing half of an Egyptian statue in the collection of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
