Paleontology Curator's correspondence files, 1941-1968.

This series consists of the correspondence files of Clinton F. Kilfoyle, Associate Paleontology Curator within the State Museum. The bulk of the correspondence pertains to requests from scientists, curators, teachers, students, and private citizens for loans of fossil specimens. The requests originate from a wide variety of public and private institutions including government agencies, educational institutions, and museums. Correspondence regarding the identification, classification, and donation of fossil specimens is also included as well as requests for publications and photographs. A small portion of the correspondence pertains specifically to the Gilboa Plants and contains several sketches. A small amount of inter-agency memoranda is also included in the series.
