Substantial additions have been made to the collection which now contains papers relating to Midwestern Universities Research Association (MURA) concerning board meetings 1953-1962; by-laws, articles of incorporation and charter 1953-1956, 1960, 1962; budgets 1954-1956; conference notes 1955-1956; MURA papers and reports concerning high-energy physics, accelerator sites, funding proposals, history and organization, relations with participating institutions and relationships with the Atomic Energy Comm-ission, Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), Enrico Fermi Institute and Oak Ridge National Laboratory 1950-1959. The series includes papers relating to Illinois accelerator development 1951, 1956-1959; manuscripts and calculations for scientific papers including "The Evolution of a Superconducting Quadrupole Lens" and "Final Calculations for the Quadrupole M424" 1966-1968. The series contains a list of publications, 1969, copies of scientific articles, 1937, 1949, 1956; and cyclotron photos, 1937. The series also includes professional correspondence 1938-1951, 1955-1970 with Albert H. Soloway, Norman Frigerio, Willi Jentschke and scientists at ANL and BNL. The subject files include Boron-mouse experiments, 1954-1957, radiation cataracts, 1948-1949, 1960-1963, elliptical dipole superconducting magnets, 1966-1987. University of llinois Alumni Honor Awards 1965-1969, and Illinois accelerator development, 1951, 1956-59.
