Letters 1856-1893.

The collection comprises eight letters. Moore sends H. Mogford the titles of the three pictures he sent in May to be forwarded to the Crystal Palace, asking if they have been accepted (1856 Sept. 10). Sends to W. Rosetti [sic] the titles and prices of the two pictures he has given for the New York exhibition (1857 Aug. 6). Returns to Martin J. Tupper the box with the moth, asking for another specimen. He will send him a few impresssions as soon as they come from the printer (1862 Dec. 3). Informs W. Agnew about the two paintings they are interested in: the titles, their places in the Royal Academy exhibition, and the listed prices, offering a discount. A letter to Lady Henley describes his search for a studio in the West Hampstead area, where the light is better than anywhere else (1889 May 24). Moore writes to Miss Neale about her father's illness. He himself is "wonderfully well," three weeks without the "painful symptoms" of his malady. His brother Alfred was also well enough to go to Hastings (1891 Jan 22). He writes to Winn that the spare room is ready if he comes to [his brother's] funeral (1893 Feb. 23). The artist assures Harsley that, as soon as he has time to deal with his brother's drawings, he will notify him, as well as the other applicants, to come, see, and "pick them" (1893 Dec. 26).
