Moore, Henry, 1831-1895
Variant namesThe British marine painter and etcher Henry Moore came from a large family of artists, and was the elder brother of the painter Alfred Moore. He found his true vocation in the 1870s as a painter of the sea, to which calling he devoted himself even in his last years despite his very poor health.
