The collection has been arranged by name of family member. The Charles Henry Palmer subgroup includes business correspondence relating to northern Michigan mining business affairs and other real estate and railroad investments; also copies of letters from Henry P. Tappan written while traveling in Europe. The Charles H. Palmer Jr. subgroup includes business papers and University of Michigan student notebooks, ca. 1863, on lectures of De Volson Wood and Andrew D. White. Other materials include. Photocopied diary, 1895-1896, of Elizabeth Palmer Bradfield, and astrological information on Palmer family members.
