Theodore Roosevelt Collection: Progressive Party archives, 1912-1916.

The Progressive ('Bull Moose') Party was formed in 1912 by Republican backers of the unsuccessful presidential candidacy of Theodore Roosevelt. It survived until 1916, when it failed to field another presidential candidate. Archives include records of the Progressive National Committee: minutes, convention proceedings, correspondence, speech and platform drafts, financial records, lists of local party leaders, and election results; also correspondence of the 1916 Roosevelt Republican League and an analysis of delegates to the 1916 Republican National Convention, with Theodore Roosevelt's presidential candidacy in view.
