Collection contains ca. 80 letters addressed to M. H. Spielmann, Arthur Fish, and Humphrey Cotton Minchin, all concerning publications for Cassell. Most of the letters generally pertain to publication rights and include permission forms signed by several artists approving Cassell's plan for the publication of pictures in the Royal Academy (ca. 1892-1905). The letters addressed to H. Cotton Minchin provide titles of works of arts and include instructions on how the artist's name should appear (1925-1929). Correspondents include Alma-Tadema, Frank Dicksee, Philip H. Calderon, John Brett and Edward Poynter.
