A group of letters between Beaumont and Nancy Newhall and Emanuel Weil. The group includes: four letters from the Newhalls to Weil; one note from Beaumont Newhall to Weil, with an enclosed statement on modern photography; and seven retained letters from Weil, including a duplicate carbon copy. The subject of this correspondence is wide-ranging, from a discussion of photographic prices to the resolution of a long-standing dispute over a particular daguerreotype.
