A five page holograph manuscript of thoughts on the laws of the Republic of Rome and their possible relation to 18th-century France. The manuscript is accompanied by a letter from J. Whishaw, presenting the manuscript to Dawson Turner (n.d.), one page mounted with newspaper clippings concerning the Mirabeau family (1789-1790, n.d.), and a wrapper annotated by Lord Rosebery.
