This series contains records relating to the planning and organization of the department's exhibitions. The files provide information on the various stages involved in the preparation and mounting of exhibitions, as well as related activities such as events and publicity. Exhibitions which are most extensively documented are Africa in Antiquity: The Arts of Ancient Nubia and the Sudan (1978) and Cleopatra's Egypt: Age of the Ptolemies (1988). In addition, this series contains files on Egyptian Sculpture of the Late Period.
