The Emory University Museum was founded in 1919 shortly after the opening of the University's Atlanta campus. The Museum moved in 1985 following a renovation of the old Law School building and the new location became Michael C. Carlos Hall. Woolford Bales Baker (1892-1993), was a biology professor at Emory University. He received degrees from Henderson-Brown College (A.B., 1919), Emory University (M.S., 1920), and Columbia University (Ph.D., 1926). Baker spent the majority of his career at Emory University as a biology professor and department chair.
