Includes administrative, curricular and student records relating to World War II training programs, including records of the Cruft Laboratory relating to Army and Navy electronics and communications courses, with emphasis on radio engineering. Also correspondence and other records of E.L. Chaffee (Director) and H.R. Mimno (Associate Director) of Central Communications Research at Harvard. Bulk of their correspondence is with Army administration. Includes course material on Engineering 270 and 171b, taught by Chaffee and Mimno); lab data, various experiments, and book orders for physics and engineering courses. Data (on registration forms) and computation notebooks for work relating to Army direction-finding are in boxes 5-6. Materials relate to work apparently done for the Army and NDRC-NBS. Data forms contain names of world-wide locations; direction-finding records apparently unrelated, although they were received with this material.
