Albert R. Omer papers, 1936-1987.

The collection consists of photocopies: four of his Steel Workers Organizing Committee (SWOC) volunteer organizer cards, 1936-1941; SWOC election roster, 1942; Executive Board meeting reminder, 1943; three photographs of Omer as a young man, his passport photo as an older man, a group photo at banquet tables, a clipping with a photo of Omer and his first wife, Mary; two copies of his obituary; and a handwritten quotation by Omer, "A free thinker is he who does not fear to go to end of his thought." Also includes an orange and black metal badge to attach to a car license plate, "I am a member of SWOC - Lodge No. 1011."

Albert R. Omer was a president and secretary-treasurer of unions representing United Engineering and Foundry, and Wean United, and a volunteer organizer for the Steel Workers Organizing Committee.
