The papers of Norman S.B. Gras contain correspondence, minutes, reports, memoranda, and articles pertaining to the history of business and economics, the Business History Foundation, teaching, and the history of the Harvard Business School. Included are research, writing, and teaching files as well as his correspondence with colleagues and organizations dedicated to the promotion of historical studies. Also of interest are a number of reprints from 1910 through the 1920s and minutes of meetings regarding the planning of Harvard Business School, 1906-1908. Correspondents include Donald K. David, Wallace Donham, Edwin F. Gay, Ralph Hidy, and Henrietta Larson. The collection also includes correspondence related to the activities of the Economics History Society and the Medieval Academy of America; teaching materials for Business History courses; and research for the Economic and Social History of an English Village and a history of the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey.

Henrietta Larson was the first woman to join the faculty of the Harvard Business School. She was hired as a Research Assistant in 1928 at the request of Norman S.B. Gras.
