Norman S.B. Gras earned his doctorate at Harvard University in 1909 studying under Edwin F. Gay. In 1927 he joined the Harvard Business School faculty as the first Isidor Straus Professor in Business History. He organized the Business History Foundation and served as president from 1949-1956. Norman S.B. Gras retired from the Harvard Business School in 1950.
