Remarking on two potential arguments for refusing to deliver the copyrights, noting that he has "no great confidence" in the first, which is that the copyrights be refused because Constable is bankrupt and cannot publish, but mentioning that their second argument, "that the bargain is broken off by the bookseller becoming unable to pay the price," is "unstable."
