Excerpt from Pease's diary, 1 Oct. 1798 to 6 Jan. 1799, describing his assistance to Joseph Ellicott in surveying the New York Reservation along the Niagara River; and 12 letters to Pease from Adam Hoops, Joseph Ellicott, Thomas Morris, James Rees, James Brisban, and John Thompson, Apr. 1798 to Aug. 1799, regarding that survey and his other surveying work west of the Genesee River. Also, deed for one and a half million acres of land purchased from Massachusetts by Robert Morris, conveyed by Morris and his wife to Herman Le Roy and John Linklaen, 24 Dec. 1792.
