308 pages of typescript transcript (complete) of Elnathan Chauncy's 1660-1661 commonplace book, compiled while a senior at Harvard College. Transcript includes autograph manuscript annotations by George Lyman Kittredge. Also includes typescript letter (signed) from Samuel Eliot Morison to Professor Kenneth Ballard Murdock, 1952 July 23. Letter describes transcript and conveys it to Murdock to dispose of as he thinks fit.
