Scrapbooks, 1903-1920.

This collection contains two college scrapbooks created by Frank and Jeannette Schultz. Frank M. Schultz's scrapbook contains newspaper articles, quotes, and ticket stubs for traveling, performances, and athletic events. There are many photographs in his scrapbook of his fraternity house mates, events, and buildings on campus. There are also ribbons he received while attending Iowa State, various programs, and grade cards. The scrapbook also includes information about fraternity life at Iowa State including rules and dance cards. Jeannette J. Lamb's scrapbook (September 18, 1914 until March 16, 1915) contains invitations and name cards from various social gatherings, letters she received from friends and family while she was away at school, napkins and candy wrappers from places she visited and parties she attended, programs from shows she attended and took part in, and ticket stubs from various trips and performances.

On March 22, 1948, Iowa State College (University) sponsored a 90th anniversary celebration in honor of the founding of the college, which occurred on the same date in 1858 when the charter act establishing a state agricultural college became law. Frank Marcellus Schultz attended Iowa State College (University) in the fall of 1915 to spring 1917. After serving in the military during World War I, he returned to Iowa State in fall of 1919 but left after one semester. While at Iowa State he majored in forestry and was a member of Theta Xi fraternity and the Student Army Training Corp (SATC).
