Thanking him for a Xerox copy of a letter in the Mary Flagler Cary collection, which was written by the mother of White's childhood friend, Katherine Gericke; reporting that Gericke has suffered a stroke, but will love having the copy of her mother's letter; discussing her own childhood with the Gericke family, saying that "this whole experience was most widening and it gave me a love of good music that has lasted a lifetime." With an autograph postscript saying that Andy [E. B. White] adds his thanks and is looking forward to the Sonnenberg catalogue.
