This collection primarily consists of the results of genealogical research by Marguerite M. Fortier, of New Orleans, La. Included are correspondence, research notes, transcripts, photographs of original papers and artwork, photocopies, newspaper clippings and other printed items, and genealogical materials relating to the Fortier, Brou, Haydel, and Labranche families, and other French Creole families of southeastern Louisiana.
