Daisy Hodgson papers, 1870-1935.

This collection consists of personal papers of Daisy Hodgson of New Orleans, La. Included are handwritten correspondence addressed to Daisy Hodgson and among other individuals, invitations, newspaper clippings and other printed items including event ephemera, pamphlets, programs, and post cards. The collection includes material concerning the Robinson Mineral Springs Co. of Madison County, Miss., primarily letters from Mary D. Robinson in Miss. to Daisy Hodgson. However, the bulk of the collection concerns plans for Confederate commemorative events, such as the 1907 bicentennial of the birth of Robert E. Lee. Letters written by Mrs. W. J. Behan, president of the Confederated Southern Memorial Association, are included, as is a pamphlet of an 1876 speech by Senator B. H. Hill of Georgia.
