John M. Kingsbury letters to James J. Webb, 1858-1860.

This collection includes forty-four letters from John M. Kingsbury to James J. Webb in mid-nineteenth century Santa Fe, New Mexico. These letters describe Kingsbury's retail store in Santa Fe, New Mexico as well as the political and social conditions in Mexico between 1858 and 1860. Also included is a transcript, and the 1996 publication about the correspondence entitled Trading in Santa Fe: John M. Kingsbury's correspondence with James Josiah Webb, 1853-1861.
