Clark's autobiography describes his early years in Utah, his family's life in Mexico and their expulsion from the country in 1912, his education, and his teaching career in Idaho and Wyoming. Contents date from between 1905 and 1968.

Ernest Clark (1888-1968) was a teacher in Idaho and Wyoming. Ernest Clark was born on October 12, 1888 in Freedom, Wyoming, to Arthur Benjamin and Helen Ross Clark. His family later moved to the Mormon colonies in Mexico, where he lived until the expulsion of the Mormons in 1912.
