Reporting that the transcript of "King Arthur" is finished and asking whether he should send a parcel containing it, the Complaynt, and the Border Ballads, but fearing Ellis will be disappointed in the ballads. Mentioning that Leyden has been appointed an assistant-surgeon to one of the India settlements. Reporting that the letter has laid by him for a week but that he is too lazy to begin a new one; hoping that the package has reached him and that he will send his remarks soon.
